MEET BETHANY DAVIS
Licensed Massage Therapist
Bethany has been in in practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Virginia and West Virginia since January, 2013. She is also a certified massage provider through the NCBTMB. She has worked under the supervision and guidance of Medical Practitioners, Chiropractors, and Physical Therapists for the majority of her career and trained in the application of medical and condition specific massage techniques. She has additional training in techniques such as prenatal, sports, geriatric, neuromuscular, trigger point therapy, cupping, hot stone, and myofascial release.
She received her initial training at National Massage Therapy Institute of Falls Church, Virginia, in 2012 where she graduated top of her class in the schools extended trade program. She went on to receive her Associates degree in Health Science with a Concentration in Massage Therapy from the same school in 2014.
Bethany practiced locally in spas, chiropractic offices, and medical offices from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Bethany followed her husband out to Colorado, for a brief two year stent, where she obtained her third state license. During her time in Colorado she practiced at a physical therapy office as well as a spa.
In 2017, Bethany and her family made their way back east. She quickly obtained a position with a medical office she had previously worked for and stepped into the role of Case Manager, while continuing to practice massage independently on the side. While her role as Case Manager helped her acquire deeper knowledge into the workings of the healthcare system, Bethany longed to be back working hands on with her patients. She transitioned back to massage full time in 2019 where she continues to research and attain new skills.
She is now attempting to launch a training program to share some of her skills and techniques with other therapists. In particular, through a great deal of research, Bethany has created her own technique for a more effective prenatal massage which is beginning to pick up a following among fellow therapists.
Bethany's aim is always to seek out and address muscular issues that are causing pain and discomfort as well as provide a relaxing massage. Bethany's passion for massage and the care of others continues to grow. She strives to provide excellence in her work and to go the extra mile whenever possible.
